"You Have To See The BABY!!"

Layla had a lot of out of town visitors the past few weeks. Here is some video that was shot a few weeks ago of visits from Great Grandpa and Grandma Stodden, Uncle Dan and Aunt Peg, and Uncle Ed and Aunt Cynthia. I will post some more pics and video very soon. I PROMISE THIS TIME!! I have a lot of video stored up and have solved my "storage space" issues.

Layla is doing well and growing very fast. She is already up to 8 lbs. 4 oz. at our last checkup for her. She had a little bout with rotavirus and was in the hospital for 3 days but everything is great now. Mom, Dad, baby, and cat are all doing just great. I go back to work part time starting on Monday (grrrrrrrr!) but can still help around the house during the day. We will find a routine when we are both back full-time. Take care...

Layla decided that because the St. Louis Rams won on opening day she needed to celebrate. She spent the afternoon hanging out with some of her buddies, laughing it up and having a good time. She can't wait until they play the Niners next week and kick their butts. GO RAMS!!! (She wanted me to tell Uncle Dan and Rob that the Niners stink!!)

Layla and some of her "Bird Faces"...
Here is some video to hold some of you over. The video is from yesterday morning (Friday) when she was making some pretty good "bird faces". The pics at the end are from her bath this morning (Saturday).

Mama...Mama, I'm Coming Home (gratuitous Ozzy Osbourne reference)

On Saturday, August 26th, Layla made her way home. It was a crazy 4 days in the hospital with many happy visitors coming to see her and nurses walking in the room every 10 minutes. Bottom line is this: Hospital food sucks and so do their beds.

Denise and I couldn't wait to get little Layla home where we always feel more comfortable. As soon as we got home, Denise and Harveen surprised us from Folsom to say hi!! They actually tried to catch us at the hospital but didn't know we were leaving that day. Here are some pics of us leaving the hospital and a shot of Harveen (sorry Harveen's Denise...I was too tired to realize I didn't get a shot of you holding her!!).

I'm a little behind on blog posting (just a week...ha!) so I will probably post a few more pics here and there before I do some more video.

Sincerely,

Brad, Denise, Layla, and Cassie
